Soberanes Fire jumps containment lines putting more houses in danger
Jul 27, 2016The Soberanes Fire burning in Monterey County grew to 23,568 acres Wednesday with 10 percent contained; more than 3,000 personnel are working day and night. Mid Coast Fire Chief Cheryl Goetz says that the fire has jumped over containment lines potentially putting another 75 houses in jeopardy. Chief Goetz will be using "Nextdoor," a private social network, to notify residents what structures have been saved and what structures have been lost.
