[californiadisasters] Olancha 395 mudslide

Local L.A. news have been showing video of a mudslide crossing 395 and pushing a semi over.    I've searched their websites and youtube, but nothing is coming up (grrr).      So I ended up running into some yahoo's video blog of his trip yesterday on 395.    You can skip through to about 4:00 when he finally gets to the mudslide.     I've always envisioned standing far clear of the edge of an active slide, but I guess you gain some confidence once there and learn what is and is not safe.      If anyone can find the news footage I've been seeing on the news, please post.
While on topic, I did not see thunderstorms on CA radar yesterday.     Were they planted over the eastern Sierra at some time?
