09/16/2011	1830	Light Initial Attack in the GACC today. No new large fires reported (0600-1800).
09/16/2011	1545	On September 16, 1987, an C-119 Airtanker crashed due to structural failure on a fire about six miles west of Castle Crags State Park, California, killing pilots Bill Berg, Stephen Harrell, and Charles Peterson.
09/16/2011	1325	The National Preparedness Level has been lowered to PL-3.
09/16/2011	0900	No new large fires reported in the GACC overnight (1800-0600).
