Hey Everyone, http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/11/13/underwater-volcano-el-hierro-canary-islands_n_1091252.htmlAnother new video from CNN, a researcher got sick from fumes causing alarm.
I am translating the newspaper articles, research, and commentaries from National Geographic researchers from the Canary Islands and from Spain every day in my blog ( http://vei8home.blogspot.com/ ). I've noticed since doing this that the media elsewhere lag their own reporting by days afterwards, up to a week.
Stay informed. Read my blog daily for the latest news concerning El Hierro (pronounced El ee-AIR-oh and trill that "r"). My translating skills are improving all the time, and so I spend a great deal of time understanding what the writer is trying to convey. Hint: don't rely on Google translator for comprehension, because it's not there. lol
One other thing: I have managed to add the two new webcams for El Hierro that are live, moment to moment images. They're large, so you'll have to go to the Atlantic Ocean, et al, link and travel all the way to the bottom of the page. Also, on the "Italy" link, I have a couple cams up for the Santorini caldera that are excellent. The last addition is for Cerro Hudson in Chile that can be found on the "Pacific Rim-South" link.
No cam is up yet for the Nyamuragira volcano that is currently in eruption in Africa, but I am constantly looking for one. The cams are updated at least every few days, but for now, these three volcanoes are the only current eruptions in the world. Others are humming, though, with the movement of magma You just never know what's going to blow.
