Congratulations to Annalise Pace and Michael Stuedle for being selected as our Selfless Seniors for the Class of 2012.

Your VVHS Vanguard Band & Color Guard over the past several months have competed in Pageant of Bands, Zia Marching Fiesta, and Tournament of Bands. Thank you Mr. Hooker, Assistants, & Band Members for all your hard work! Great Job!

Congratulations to everyone who participated in the can food drive for Road Runner food bank. We collected over 4,000 items. The big winner is National Honor Society with 1275 items. In second place we have Key Club aka Wing Squad with 1188 items. Thanks to everyone who participated. This has been the most successful food drive VVHS has ever had. Way to go Hawks!

MESA, the math and science club will meet today at lunch in Mrs. Bitner's room H 207. We will be planning our parent night and looking at pictures from our NM Tech fieldtrip. MESA will not meet after school today or Wednesday.

NHS: Our next required meeting will be Monday, Nov 28th, the Monday after Thanksgiving. We are planning this as our annual Holiday lunch, so plan on being in attendance. Thanks for your support of the food drive for RoadRunner Food Bank.

Sophomore Class Officers and Senators should meet in Mrs. Riley's room, upstairs in A Hall, at lunch on Wednesday.

The student-led Bible study "converge" will be meeting Tuesday, November 15 during lunch in room F211. All are welcome to join us. Members and the advisor for "Converge" will be offering tutoring in room F211 during lunch on Thursdays, every week. Help is currently available for English and Social Studies. If anyone would like to join us to help with tutoring as a community service project, please come and help out your fellow Hawks.

CNM Returning Student Registration begins November 7th. Returning Dual Credit students check Your my CNM account for your registration date and time. New Dual Credit students can register for spring classes on Nov. 28th.

Do you love going to concerts? Do you love meeting musicians? Do you want to be in the yearbook? If so, send your pictures from a concert or meeting your favoritemusician to hawkeditor@gmail.com or to Mrs.Weidner by November 21st.

Seniors you have a great opportunity ON Tuesday. There will be people here to register you to vote in the next presidential election. Stop by the main entrance of school during lunch on Tuesday.

The drama department will be presenting the play Dracula this weekend, Friday evening at 7, Saturday afternoon at 1 and Saturday evening at 7. Ticket prices are $10 for adults, $6 for students, $3 for Thespians and children under 12. There will be a craft fair here at VVHS on Saturday from 10 to 4 in the H Hall area.
