National Honor Society: We are in the process of verifying requirements have been met to maintain eligibility to receive Letters and Honor Cords next semester. This means all Community Service and Tutoring hours need to be submitted to Mrs. Jones by the end of the day on Friday, December 9th. No late forms will be accepted. Be sure all required signatures have been obtained before you turn in your forms. We will also verify attendance at meetings this semester. Our next meeting will be in January. Good luck with Final Exams, and see you in 2012.
Seniors: If you want to purchase the senior panoramic photo stop by the activities office and pick up an order from. Please return the form by December 16th.
Volcano Vista staff and students, administrators will be coming around all week to recognize students who received a 3.5 GPA or higher in the 2nd 6 week grading period. We want to recognize and congratulate all students demonstrated this remarkable academic achievement. Again, over 25% of the VVHS student body will be receiving this recognition this week.
Also, administrators will be recognizing students with UpWard Bound Awards for students that have made a significant academic, attitude and/or work-ethic improvement in class from the 1st to the 2nd 6 week grading period. We challenge all students to make that extra effort to be extraordinary in theclassroom. Go Hawks!
The BSU is hosting a Joy Junction clothing drive, today through December 9. To make a donation all you have to do is bring in gently used clothing that you do not wear anymore to Mr. Williams' room in F204. Please bring your donation in a grocery bag, or if it all won't fit, in a trash bag. Your donation will be greatly appreciated.
Best Buddies will meet in E102 during lunch today. This is a very important meeting!
Any student needing credit recovery needs to see their Academy counselor. eCademy registration is now online and your counselor can register you to save you the hassle of standing in line. Registration cost is $15 cash or money order and you can make payment in the bookroom during working hours. See your counselor for more details.
Have you lost your pants, shoes, shirts, back packs. Please stop by the activities office and look through our lost and found. All items in the lost and foundwill be donated to charity at the end of the semester.

Athletics this weekend:
- Wrestling will be at Rio Rancho High School today and tomorrow for the Southwest Dual Meet.
- Swimming has a meet Saturday at West Mesa Pool beginning at 8:30 AM.
- Boys Basketball will play at 4 PM today at Sandia High School.
- Girls Basketball will play on Saturday (5:30 PM at La Cueva) in the championship game of the Metro Tournament.
