There is a 1200 acre brush fire (5% contained) that is in eastern San Diego county -

Cause: Under Investigation Engines: 40 fire engines Fire crews: 8 fire crews. Airtankers: 6 airtankers Helicopters: 6 helicopters Dozers: 5 bulldozer Water tenders: 4 water tenders Conditions: The fire is spreading rapidly, with a west wind pushing the fire to the east.The fire is now burning onto Granite Peak. The fire is burning grass within last years Great Fire. Additional fire resources have been requested and are enroute to the fire. S-2 is being closed between Scissors Crossing and Shelter Valley.
