The fire is very active today despite the thin overcast and cooler conditions. Earlier when the air crews were still up they kept making reference to the very large dark smoke column of the main fire as well as multiple satellite columns. The wind is causing all kinds of problems for both the air show which is shut down now and for the ground crews whom are facing active spotting issues as the fire continues to grow and get established in new regions.
