Frazier Park N/O Frazier MT Park RD, X of Grand Terrace Drive,

W/O Frazier Park, Ventura County

Fire has burned into Ventura county and is unified command with

Los Padres National Forest, CALFIRE, Ventura County Fire

and Kern County Fire.

CALFIRE IMT #6 (Kaslin) will transition with the LPF,

tentatively 0700, 5-16-2013.

Unified ordering point is the Los Padres National Forest.

2500+ acres, 0% contained Fire continues to burn in

light grass to medium brush, moderate to rapid rate of spread

Jurisdiction FRA Threat to SRA and LRA

Media reporting as 750+ acres, 0% contained

Fire burning in rugged terrain light grass,

medium brush and pinion juniper

 

rapid rate of spread, Fire burning in S/E direction

74°, 27% RH, 10 mph, Gusts to 20 MPH WNW

 

Values at risk Hungry valley OHV

Hungry Valley State Park was under a mandatory evacuation order

Concerns are High Voltage Power lines in the area

fire prompted the evacuation of Frazier Mountain High School.

Students were safely bussed from the school

Chiquito Fire SNF-847, 40 acres, 100% contained

Fire is burning mid-slope in heavy dead and downed fuels

with numerous snags.

 

Highway Fire CA-ANF- 001922   Castaic Los Angeles Co.

50 acres

 

Lytle Fire, Vegetation Fire, San Bernardino County,

I-15 @ Sierra Avenue

75 acres, 95 % Contained  1 Out building reported destroyed

Concerns to high heat, low humidities and low fuel moisture levels

All road closures have been lifted
