STUDENTS APS has asked for your input! You may complete a survey during lunch at the Library computers to assist the interview committee in selecting our principal. As you may remember, Mrs. Atencio is our Interim Principal this year. Your parents also received an email with the survey link to complete the survey from home. The deadline is SUNDAY at MIDNIGHT.
Hey Everybody! This is IMPORTANT so pay attention....One of the greatest challenges of the year is TODAY!!! The Faculty will be beating, I mean PLAYING the Seniors at lunch in KICKBALL at the Baseball Field. Come out and cheer the faculty to a victory.
Hey all of you dancers, performers and actors. Would you like an opportunity to perform under stadium lights in front of hundreds of people? Then come join the VVHS color guard and flag team. The flag team performs with the band at all football games and state competitions. In color guard you'll dance, act, and spin rifles, flags and sabers. No experience necessary, we'll teach you everything you need to know. Be a part of an exciting, energetic group!
Come to the VVHS Colorguard/Flag auditions on May 2nd and 3rd from 4:00 to 7:00pm as well as May 9th and 10th 4:00 to 7:00pm. Meet in band room G116. Any questions see Mr Blakey.
The semester SOAR drawing will take place Tuesday, May 7 during the morning announcements. Make sure you get your SOAR cards turned in for a chance to win a laptop computer, IPOD or TI 83 Calculator.
Seniors! Please plan ahead and order your final transcript to your college of choice. If you do not send your final transcript your classes may be dropped for the fall semester at college. All request for transcripts and pick up are student only no parents are allowed to request or pick up final transcripts. Any questions please see Mrs. Ewing in the main office.
Seniors! There is a new fines list posted. Be sure all your fines are cleared by May 7.
Seniors who signed up to be the talent at the Honors Assembly there will be tryouts during lunch today in G173.
Yearbooks are $70.00. You may purchase them at lunch in the activities office.
Anyone who needs extra pages for the yearbook autograph inserts are $2.00 in the activities office.
COUNSELING
- Summer School Registration will begin on May 1st, 2013 and be ongoing until May 22nd, 2013. If you need to make up a class, make an appointment to see your Academy Counselor for more information and transcript review. They will review with you options to make up credits.
- Seniors: If you need help signing up for college orientation, housing, or have questions about your financial aid see Mrs. Sandy in E224.
- Seniors: If you have not completed a Senior Exit Survey through your English class, please see Mrs. Sandy at lunch today! Otherwise your information will not be included in the Senior Honors Assembly.

- HAWKS: IF YOU SIGNED UP TO DO THE RUN FOR THE ZOO THIS WEEKEND WITH VOLCANO VISTA HIGH SCHOOL, PLEASE PICK UP YOUR ZOO PACKET BY FRIDAY FROM COACH NORD OR COACH KOWALSKI BY THE END OF SCHOOL ON FRIDAY! CONGRATS ONCE AGAIN VOLCANO VISTA--WE TOOK FIRST PLACE BY HAVING THE MOST STUDENTS SIGN UP FOR THE RUN FOR THE ZOO AT THE HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL! WE'LL SEE YOU AT THE ZOO SUNDAY MORNING!

- Attention any boys interested in playing soccer, there will be a meeting on Thursday, May 9 during lunch in the lecture hall. Plan to attend we will be going over summer and fall information.
There is a track meet today at 3:30. Girls are at Wilson Stadium and Boys are at Milne. - Today Softball plays Cibola at 4. It is senior day.
We will be on a short assembly schedule tomorrow to honor our ROTC State Champions.
