This is a link describing the McClellan reload facility for the DC-10s and C-130s.
Here's two email comments from those near Tuolumne City.
Finally got to talk to Preston this morning he said the fire is destroying our forest that never in our lifetime will we see it recover. He said that out at jawbone and evergreen it looks like the moon absolutely nothing green left. Now normally all us loggers and equipment operators love a good fire because of the pay and at first I have to admit I was kind of excited thinking yay maybe well make good money to finish the rest of the new house. Well now after talking to him what's the point of staying here if our forest burns up. Well have two to three years of cleanup then there will be no work for us here at all if our forest is destroyed our way of life is going to change!Feeling humbled.

We are all ok , if the fire stays on the east side of HWY 108. This PDF file is an update to were the fire has burned, I think the turning point will be Paper Cabin Ridge if it breaches that ridge it can go all the way to Tuolumne City and up the drainage to Ponderosa Hills (Debbie & Dave our kids ) and all the way to Sugar Pine, Mi Wuk , Sierra Village. CDF person said that if the wind was right it could burn all the to Pinecrest on this side of the fire; on the eastside all the way to Nevada thru Yosemite it is already in the park on the northern border. We have been thru this in 1987 with the Complex fire which was only half has big as the Rim fire.
