...STRONG WINDS EXPECTED ACROSS PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST CALIFORNIA  WEDNESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY...    .A WEAK UPPER LEVEL WEATHER SYSTEM WILL MOVE OVER THE AREA TODAY.  IN ITS WAKE...STRONG NORTHWEST TO NORTH WINDS ARE EXPECTED WITH  GUSTS AROUND 60 MPH THROUGH AND BELOW PASSES AND CANYONS OF THE  SANTA YNEZ RANGE IN SOUTHERN SANTA BARBARA COUNTY...ESPECIALLY THE  MONTECITO AREA...AS WELL AS PORTIONS OF THE LOS ANGELES AND  VENTURA COUNTY MOUNTAINS. GUSTY WINDS ARE ALSO EXPECTED ACROSS  OTHER PORTIONS OF THE SOUTHLAND. WINDS WILL TURN TO THE NORTHEAST  AFTER MIDNIGHT THURSDAY AND SLOWLY DIMINISH THROUGH THURSDAY  MORNING. DICK SMITH WILDERNESS AREA  357 AM PST WED FEB 19 2014    ...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM THIS MORNING TO  3 AM PST THURSDAY...    * WINDS...NORTH WINDS WILL INCREASE TO 25 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS UP    TO 60 MPH THIS MORNING AND PERSIST THROUGH EARLY THURSDAY    MORNING. THE STRONGEST WINDS WILL OCCUR THROUGH AND BELOW PASSES    AND CANYONS OF THE SANTA YNEZ RANGE.    * IMPACTS...STRONG WINDS CAN MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY    FOR DRIVERS OF HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES AND VEHICLES TOWING    TRAILERS. WINDS THIS STRONG MAY DOWN TREES AND POWER LINES...    AND CAUSE PROPERTY DAMAGE. MAJOR ROADWAYS THAT COULD BE    AFFECTED INCLUDE HIGHWAYS 101...154...AND 192...ESPECIALLY    NEAR GAVIOTA... SAN MARCOS PASS...AND BELOW THE HILLS OF    MONTECITO.    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...    A HIGH WIND WARNING MEANS THAT DAMAGING HIGH WINDS OF 58 MPH OR  GREATER ARE LIKELY OR IMMINENT.
