Mu Alpha Theta is a National Mathematics Honor Society encompassing more than 65,000 students in more than 1,200 schools. We are dedicated to inspiring interest in mathematics by fellowship, competition and community outreach. The Volcano Vista chapter of the Math National Honors Society is now inviting qualifying students to become new members. See Mr. Guzman in H217 for a new member form by Friday, November 14th.
Attention DECA Students: The standing Friday morning meeting will not take place this week. This week only we will be meeting after school in Mr. Colburn's room on Thursday.

We will be showing the movie Mean Girls on the baseball field at 6:00 Friday night. Tickets are $3.00 or 2 for $5.00. All proceeds from our movie night will benefit Rachel's Challenge.
LETTERJACKETS: The weather is cooling down and you have not bought you letter jacket, don't stress!! Gardenswartz Team Sales will be selling letter jackets at a reduced price on November 6th at the VVHS One Team Athletic Parent Night event. COUNSELING:
The College and Career Center office, room E224, will be open daily from 11:00am till 1:30pm. Volcano Vista Counselors will be staffing this office daily, outside of these hours any questions you may have can be taken directly to your Academy Counselor.
The deadline to apply for the Daniels Scholarship Program is only two weeks away! The application will close on November 17, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. The scholarship application can be accessed through our website at DanielsFund.org along with additional information about eligibility requirements, selection criteria, application process, and selection timeline. ATHLETICS
BOYS BASKETBALL: Boys Basketball Tryouts are Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 3 and 4th at 6pm-8pm. A completed Physical is required in order to tryout. See Coach Cuevas in room A114 for questions.
GIRLS BASKETBALL: GIRLS Basketball Tryouts are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 3 -5th. A completed Physical is required in order to tryout. See Coach Villareal in room F202 for questions.
VOLLEYBALL: plays tonight at Cibola at 7pm.
NMAA State Soccer is this week. Girls play on Thursday at the soccer complex at 1:30 against Eldorado. Boys play on Thursday at 7:45pm on field 1 at the Soccer Complex against Atrisco Heritage.
NMAA State XC is Saturday at 10am at Rio Rancho High School.
