Cotton is king. After what I’ve experienced over the years I will not wear synthetics.

If you HAVE to play with fire, wear COTTON (or Nomex if you can get it and afford it).  That means UNDERgarments too.  Synthetic melts and sticks to skin (more than you wanted to think about when you consider where to wear them).  Insulated leather boots, cotton socks... full body coverage... it isn't for amateurs.

Just goes to show...call 911 and go get wet stuff!!  With all the funky materials used in pants and shoes these days, stomping isn't necessarily the smartest thing to do. :(

 

Gonna be a long, scary season....I just spent a couple of hours pulling those godawful tall spiky foxtails that make such GOOD fuel from my front ditch...
