We have had about 5 quakes in three days in the Smokey Mountains along the TN-NC line-- plus a couple within the prior 3 weeks.   It is unusual here to have more than one every 5 years or so.  I haven't checked the location against known faults to see if this is on a known active fault/new fault/reactivated fault or cavern collapse  etc.  Around 3-3.6 km it is possible for a cavern collapse as the existing Smokeys are rootless mountains consisting of archaic sandstones/quartzite which was thrust over Cambrian-aged limestones( See geologic "coves".  I await the researcher's analysis.
