Good question but no real easy answer. The boiling process you mention is what is known as distillation in chemistry; in essence - oil refining. You boil off all the contaminants at various temperatures to recover the various impurities into more useful components. At the very end of it all, you have water, but it is still not entirely pure and maybe still not good enough for irrigation purposes. That's the problem. And then there is the solid residue which is hazardous waste and needs to be stored somewhere . . .
Not trying to discount the value of your idea but there are technical and financial issues that still need to be resolved.

So silly
question...in this day of seriously compromised water
availability, wouldn't it be smarter to boil off/purify
the liquid fraction for recycling and dispose of the solids
in another fashion?
