State Route 74 was reopened.

Rough, CA-SNF-001746, Fresno County, Update
2.5 miles to the southwest of Spanish Mountain bordering the Monarch Wilderness.

Highway 74 East, east of Highway 371, Anza

Incident in Unified Command (CAL FIRE, USFS-BDF)
Threat to the community of Pinyon, Pathfinder Campground, and the Pacific Crest Trail.
State Route 74 is closed at Santa Rosa Reservation Rd, open only to residents.

West of Community of Shaver Lake

33 acres, brush, 30% contained
Containment and control lines are holding.

Rough, CA-SNF-001746, Fresno County, Update
2.5 miles to the southwest of Spanish Mountain bordering the Monarch Wilderness.

Fire remains inaccessible at this time, the treacherous terrain and absence of identified
safety zones has prevented the insertion of any firefighters.
Thus far the only direct attack tactics employed have been retardant and water drops.

Transfer of command occurred at 1800 to the Sequoia Forest ICT3 (Villa/Salazar)
Fire has not been controlled and will continue to burn north into available fuels
in the footprint of the 2011 Lion Fire scar.

08/11/2015 - 7:10 a.m.          Firefighter Michael "Mike" Hallenbeck was killed in the line of duty as a result of injuries sustained August 8th, while suppressing a wildfire in Northern California. Our deepest condolences and thoughts go out to family, his friends, and to his crew members at Organized Crew 36 on the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit where he worked.

Burning in timber.
Moderate Rate of Spread
Structures threat has been mitigated.
Electrical transmission lines are adjacent to the fire.
Residents remain evacuated along Music Creek Rd. at Jose Basin.
No changes in condition as of last report.

Near Jose Basin; Music Farm Rd X Jose Basin Rd

Moderate Rate of Spread
85 degrees, 20% RH, Wind SSW @ 12 mph 
2 Immediate structure threats.
Threat to 230KV power lines.
Fire is working between two Forest Service road systems.
The ground crews are currently burning the road systems to hold
and contain the fire.
Residences have been evacuated along Music Creek Rd. at Jose Basin.
Additional evacuations have instituted in area of Dogwood and Shaver rd.
Using reverse 911.
