2011: Strong offshore winds near Riverside were estimated at 65 mph.
A tree fell down on part of a building.

2004:
Potent winds blew across the San Joaquin Valley, with gusts up to 70 mph along the west side of the Valley.
Over three dozen power poles fell alone in Easton and several were knocked down in Madera.

1998:
 Prolonged snowfall over the east slopes of the southern Sierra Nevada deposited two feet of new snow at Aspendell (8500 feet in Inyo Co.) in the first 30 hours and left a storm total of 31" during a 48-hour period.

1988: A dying subtropical storm system dropped 4" of rain in the mountains of San Diego County.
More than 4" fell in Imperial Beach in 24 hours and 3.71" in 8 hrs.
1.5" fell in Chula Vista, 1.25" fell in San Diego and less than 1" fell in other parts of San Diego County.
Standing water was five feet deep in some intersections.
Some homes were flooded with 3-6 feet of water.
$500,000 in damage occurred.
50 homes in Imperial Beach were flooded.
30 families were displaced by flooded homes.
Power outages and road closures also resulted.

1987: Five to 6-foot waves hit the coast.
Large surf inundated Seacoast Dr. in Imperial Beach.
A man and his son were swept off Sunset Cliffs and died.

1985: Up to 2" of snow fell in Palm Springs.

1983: A winter storm dropped 8" of snow on Frazier Park, 4"-5" at Lebec, and 3" at Mojave.

1979: 56" of snow fell in Big Bear Lake from 1.31 to this day, the greatest storm snowfall on record.

1975: 18" of snow fell at Donner Memorial State Park near Truckee, CA.

1972: South Lake Tahoe had a morning low of -11° F.

1956: The morning low at Reno, NV, was -9° F.

1953: It was 79° F in Idyllwild, the highest temperature on record for February.

1904: San Jose recorded a low temperature of 24° F..

1873: A snowstorm that started on 1.30 and ended on 2.3 piled up 44" at Grass Valley – Lake Arrowhead.
On this day 30" of snow fell.
