Good Morning Hawks
Today is Thursday, February 22, 2018
Please rise for the pledge
THIS WEEK IS SPREAD THE WORD TO END THE WORD.
We are asking people to pledge to stop saying the R-word as a starting point toward creating more accepting attitudes and communities for all people. Language affects attitudes and attitudes affect actions. Pledge today in lower E hall during lunch to use respectful, people-first language.
STUDENT SENATE will be collecting signatures in support of Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida. On Thursday during lunch we will have a pledge poster set up in F-hall to be sent to Stoneman Douglas High School.
DECA is selling Yuda Bands for $7 at the DECA snack bar during lunch. These bracelets are handmade, super cool and most importantly all proceeds go back to Yuda bands to fund the education of a young boy from Guatemala. The boy directly impacted has aspirations of one day becoming a surgeon. If you buy a band you will help fund his schooling. Please come out and help us make a difference!
APS is proud to be hosting the upcoming Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) College 101 night, a free, bilingual (Spanish-English), workshop where students will receive valuable information about how to prepare, plan, and pay for a college education. SEE YOUR COUNSELOR FOR MORE INFORMATION.
STAFF: a Pilates fitness class for staff members at 3:40 in the Dance Room.
Have a great day.
And remember
As always
It's Great to be a Hawk
