It's from the SW boundary of a discontinuous outcrop of
the Coast Range

thrust, a late Mesozoic subduction zone, located 40 miles
east of the

present coastline in Northern California. That's the
whence and when of

it. Does that help answer the what?

n provincie au fost ocupate cu forta primariile si prefecturile unde au fost instalati comunisti de cele mai multe ori total nepregatiti pentru functia respectiva. Totodata s-au organizat garzi muncitoresti de fapt cete de batausi care au fost utilizate mai ales dupa ce Teohari Georgescu a inceput sa gireze Ministerul de Interne. Zona de nord-vest a Transilvaniei era administrata direct de catre sovietici. Sub presiunea delegatilor sovietici din Comisia Aliata de Control concomitent cu reducerea fortelor armate romane in tara au fost dislocate noi unitati militare sovietice la Ploiesti Arad Deva si Petrosani. Atunci cand primul-ministru a anuntat in discursul din 11 februarie 1945 de la sala Scala din Bucuresti masuri ferme pentru a apara cu orice pret ordinea in stat in fata agitatiilor comunistilor dupa manifestarile de la intreprinderea Malaxa din Bucuresti acestia au provocat la 24 februarie 1945 incidente la Bucuresti Brasov Caracal Craiova si in alte localitati. in capitala in conditiile unei demonstratii de protest fata de cresterea pericolului comunist in fata Ministerului de Interne s-au tras focuri de arma dintr-o masina a sindicalistilor comunisti. Au cazut victime dar cele acuzate au fost tot partidele national - liberal si national - taranesc.
