Dates Time News and Notes 07/31/2019 0930 National Weather Service - Medford has issued a Fire Weather Watch in effect from Thursday afternoon through Thursday evening for strong gusty winds and low humidity. Effected areas include Modoc County except for the Surprise Valley area, Fire Weather Zone 285.Link 07/31/2019 0815 CA-MDF Tucker Fire: 14,217 acres grass and brush, 10% contained. Minimal fire behavior with isolated interior pockets of heat. Evacuation warnings remain in place. Damage has been reported to 250kV powerlines. Threats include the Tuscarora high pressure gas pump station, critical Sage Grouse habitat and historical values. California Incident Management Team 10 assumed command at 0600 this morning. 07/31/2019 0815 CA-MEU Usal Fire: 130 acres timber, 65% contained. Crews continue to mop-up in steep terrain with heavy fuels.
