9/19/2010 | 1708 | The Black Incident, CA-ENF, is 90 acres and 80 percent contained. |
9/19/2010 | 0711 | Initial Attack Activity was light in the GACC yesterday with 4 fires for 13 acres reported in the Daily Situation Report. There are currently no large fires burning in the GACC; NOPS continues to support incidents in South Ops. Most other areas west of the Cascade/Sierra crest will likely see a good wetting rain by midday Sunday. The coastal and northern areas on both sides of the crest will see the most precipitation, although precip will be typically lighter in eastern areas overall. A dry westerly flow will be in place much of next week, but some light rain is possible at times in the very NW corner of North Ops. Temperatures will remain below seasonal normals for most areas, and RH recovery should remain relatively good, especially with longer nights these days. Some gusty southerly to westerly winds are expected at times, but mostly in the higher elevations or in the afternoons along the coast. |
