CA -TNF American Fire: Fire is now 20+ acres, activeley burning on all sides.

CA-TNF Alleghany Fire: 100% contained at 8 acres.

CA-MNF Wallow Fire: this fire has been called out.

CA-MNF Crocket Fire: 7 acres 25% contained.

CA -TNF American Fire: Fire is now 15 acres with a moderate rate of spread. Additional Resources are being mobilized for this incident.

There were approximately 40 downstrikes recorded in the GACC yesterday. The majority of strikes occurred in the Shasta Valley, between Yreka and Weed. There were also downstrikes recorded south of Callahan, as well as around Douglas City. Precipitation amounts associated with yesterday's activity can be characterized as light.

CA-SRF Butler Fire: 8,485 acres, 17% contained. Smoke inversions broke early yesterday but recent cool temperatures and precipitation limited fire behavior; flanking and lateral spread of the fire continued, Fire in Butler creek remains active along the ridge line in Division K spreading to the west; surface fire behavior has been observed with isolated torching. Slow rates of spread were observed on the fire. With cooler weather and higher humidity, the fire remained surface in nature and progressed with slow rates of spread.

CA-KNF Salmon River Complex: 9,748 acres, 30% contained. Steep rugged terrain, heavy fuels, snags and rolling material hampering control efforts. Narrow roads with little to no access to the fire area. Smoke impact is limiting aerial support and reconnaissance and continues to affect local communities.

CA-SRF Butler Fire: 8,325 acres, 17% contained. Smoke inversions set up early and extended into the evening limiting fire behavior; flanking and lateral spread of the fire continued, Fire in Butler creek remains active along the ridgeline in Division K spreading to the West; surface fire behavior has been observed with isolated torching. Slow rates of spread were observed on the fire. With cooler weather and higher humidity, the fire remained surface in nature and progressed with slow rates of spread.

CA-KNF Salmon River Complex: 9,809 acres, 30% contained. Steep rugged terrain, heavy fuels, snags and rolling material hampering control efforts. Creeping with the large diameter fuels and stumps holding heat.

CA-SRF Butler Fire: 8,204 acres, 14% contained. Structure protection continues in Butler Flat, Nordheimer and other structures along the Salmon River Road. Good progress continues on indirect control lines. Road crews opened HWY 93 to fire traffic only, relieving some logistical problems. Fire continues to flank and spread laterally into Butler, Lewis, Hammel and Nordheimer Creeks, however slow rates of spread were observed due to cooler weather and higher humidity. Good progress continues on indirect control lines.

CA-SRF Butler Fire: 7,845 acres, 14% contained. Fire continues to flank and spread laterally into Butler, Lewis, Hammel and Nordheimer Creeks, however slow rates of spread were observed due to cooler weather and higher humidity. Good progress continues on indirect control lines. Mop up continues around structures at Butler Flat, Nordheimer and other structures along the Salmon River Road. Salmon River Road remains closed, but road crews were able to open the road to fire traffic only, relieving logistical problems.

CA-KNF Salmon River Complex: 9,700 acres, 16% contained. Significant progress was made constructing hand line along the northeast side of the fire, in addition to the completion of indirect line along the west side. Forest closures remain in effect. Evacuation advisory along Salmon River Road including the community of Sawyers Bar, and the Whites Gulch, Idlewild and Mule Bridge campgrounds remains in effect.

CA-LMU Coyote Fire: 50 acres, 0% contained. Fire is burning in grass and juniper, located 20 miles SE of Bieber, near Coyote Reservoir. Fire is crowning and spotting, with rapid rate of spread. Significant resource augmentation has been requested.

CA-KNF Salmon River Complex: 9,188 acres, 16% contained. Forest closures are in effect. Evacuation advisory along the north side of the Salmon River Road including the community of Sawyers Bar, and the Whites Gulch, Idlewild, and Mule Bridge campgrounds is in effect.

CA-SRF Butler Fire: 7,498 acres, 8% contained. Short range spotting is occuring across narrow canyons. Smoke inversion continues to impact air operations during the burning period. The spot fire detected yesterday on the northeast side of the Salmon River has been lined and contained. Good progress continues on indirect control lines.

CA-KNF Salmon River Complex: 9,005 acres, 16% contained. Fire behavior moderated, with isolated single tree torching on the west side and active surface fire on the east side. The community of Sawyers Bar, as well as Red Bank, Whites Gulch, Idlewild and Mule Bridge campgrounds continue to be threatened.

CA-SRF Butler Fire: 6,305 acres, 8% contained. The fire continues to back in to Hammel, Butler, Lewis and Nordheimer Creeks. Snags are present from previous fires, contributing to increase in time needed to prep lines for firing operations. Road closures continue on Salmon River Road. Power and water systems in Butler Flat have been affected by rock fall.

CA-KNF Salmon River Complex: 8,927 acres, 16% contained. Fire continues to spread into Sawmill Gulch, South Fork of Cherry Creek and across Big Creek.

CA-SRF Butler Fire: 6,248 acres, 8 % contained. Fire continues to spread into Hammel and Butler Creeks. Fire has spotted into Nordheimer Creek drainage.
