Union Pacific's mainline runs right next to the 10.   They may may be affected too.

Just got back from Cabazon. Fire has moved to within few hundred feet from homes there and less than ½ mile from Interstate 10.

Since the wind is blowing out of the North West there, the fire wasn't really moving much. Just creeping downslope.

Structure protection was in place there. This is right across from the Morongo Casino.

Will put some photos from my visit on SCM.

the bull dozer was stalled the engin caught on fire / fire is over 5000 ac, there is a nite shift of air support with tankers and helicopters working
trying to help with structure protection,, Edna Mtn is under mandatory evacuation also tonite about an hour ago this is 3 miles or less now south
of I - 10 and just west of hwy 243, chp has shut down hwy 243 earlier.. , little bit ago the fire was backing down to the west..  unknown what
