On a par with that, it won’t take much to get back into a full on fire season up there. There hasn’t been a lot of precip. Either way, it’s a test of a vehicle braking system. ;o)
I was reminded tonight that I haven’t been the high country there for over 30 years now; it’s about time for me to go again. The valley was visited numerous times (a day trip location). I prefer spring and fall (new critters, fall colors and rut season).
More low snow forecast for tomorrow night (yay, that means here!) with a larger storm over the weekend (warmer, will melt the new snow).

That would be most interesting if they did. However, I'd be concerned if it did open and there was a big storm, people could be stranded in places they wouldn't have normally been at if the road remained closed. The pass itself is at nearly 10,000 feet. When it snows, it can REALLY snow.
