Prom tickets are on sale today thru Tuesday April 1st for $20.00. The price increases to $25 on April 2. Juniors and Seniors may purchase tickets in the Activities Office during lunch. You must have your ID to purchase a ticket. It is your responsibility to read the rules on the back of your ticket. They are also up online and in your agenda.
Math NHS juniors and sophomores will meet today in Ms. Conell's room, F103 to elect officers for next year. Seniors do not need to attend.
Art Club members...remember to bring your white t-shirt for tie-dyeing this week in G113. We will start tomorrow during our lunch meeting.
What's better than hanging out and watching a movie? How about watching a movie on our baseball field with your friends? Come join us on the baseball field Friday March 28th at 7:30 for a homerun of a good time. We will be watching The Sandlot. Tickets will be available for $3.00 at the outfield gate.
Help Volcano Vista celebrate World Autism Day. On Wednesday April 2, wear blue to light it up blue. You may purchase Autism Awareness t-shirts for $10 in the E hall servery at lunch.
Hey Hawks, if you have not signed up for the Run for the Zoo this year, see Mrs. Kowalski or Mrs. Nord by the end of this week to sign up! All race registrations must be received by Friday, March 28th in order to receive the school discount--we'll see you there!
SENIORS: If you purchased announcements from Campus Specialties they will be here at lunch on Wednesday to deliver them. They will be set up outside of the bookroom.
We will be on a short advisory schedule on Wednesday. Seniors report to you advisory teacher and then come to the PAC to get information about graduation. All underclassmen please report to your advisory teacher. You will be going to the gym to hear the student body election speeches. Freshmen sit in the top bleachers. Sophomores sit in the lower north bleachers and Juniors sit in the lower south bleachers.
ATHLETICS:
Baseball - Metro Tournament Champions with wins over Manzano, Sandia, La Cueva and Eldorado! They play at Eldorado on Tuesday and host Albuquerque High on Saturday.
Softball - 4th Place at Metro Tournament with wins over Belen and Valley and losses to Rio Rancho and Cibola. They play Rio Grande on Tuesday, West Mesa on Thursday and at Piedra Vista on Saturday.
B. Tennis - Beat Highland, Rio Grande and Belen - They play at Eldorado on Tuesday, at Sandia on Wednesday and at Albuquerque High on Thursday.
G. Tennis - Beat Highland, Rio Grande and Belen - They play Eldorado on Tuesday, Sandia on Wednesday and Albuquerque High on Thursday.
G. Track - 1st Place at the Robertson Invite.
B. Track – The boys track team finished 2nd at the Robertson Invite on Saturday. Senior Mike Budick set a new school record in the javelin with a throw of 183 feet 9 inches. The 4x200 meter relay team of senior Robert Peele, sophomores Ale Goldston and Taran Robinson, and freshman Chris Streetz qualified for the State Championships in May. Great job boys!
All boys track and field athletes, this is a reminder that practice today is at Milne Stadium. We are also hosting the middle school meet there this afternoon. Arrive to the stadium on time, as we will only have an hour for practice. You will be released at 2:15. Coach Gilmore has Hawk Absence sheets in his room, F212.

The State Spirit Competition is Friday and Saturday. Good Luck to our dancers and cheerleaders. This Friday at 2:14 pm and this Saturday at 3:15 pm at the UNM PIT, the Varsity cheerleaders will be competing for the 5A New Mexico state championship--we receive points for crowd involvement, so we would LOVE your support! Hope to see Volcano Vista Hawks invading the PIT this weekend!
