Yeep. New faults, areas to watch, and I'm sitting here watching the news that went out from Channel 7 in the 10-17-1989 San Francisco Earthquake (see below)....We really need to get people better prepared--as in, knowing exactly what they will do in the case of emergency so that they can do it without panicking.
We all hear 'be prepared' but it so rarely goes beyond, Have a kit ready and know what to do', and no one really spells out, "First, do this, then do that, then do the next thing'. Maybe someone should, for the people like me who don't watch TV anymore, don't hear a lot of news, and so on.
Just thinking....
