Good Morning Hawks!

 

DRIVER EDUCATION SIGN-UPS are before school and during lunch in the Activities Office. You must be 15 years old by the first day of the class. The class meets after school Monday - Thursday, and daily attendance is required. We will have 1 class this semester & 1 class next semester. There is no fee for the class, and does not include any driving time. After sign-ups, students will be contacted to complete enrollment and permission form for the class.

 

Attention students interested in Joining the Golf Team this school year.  There will be a meeting for any students interested in joining the Golf Team this year.  This meeting is only for new students to the team who have not had a chance to meet with Coach Cota.  The Meeting will be this Wednesday, August 25th at 4:00, at Ladera Golf Course.  Again this meeting is only for students new to the team and is this Wednesday at 4:00 at Ladera Golf Course. 

 

C team football players. Study halls begin Monday Aug 23 and will take place Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays in H 209...be there by the last bell.....

 

Volcano Vista's Taking Flight Productions will be presenting the Rogers and Hammerstein musical, THE KING AND I.

 Attention - if you are interested in being part of the first musical on in the new Theatre, THE KING AND I, then remember to pick up audition materials in room J 122 (That's in the Performing Arts Center).  Today, starting at 3:00 pm and running until 5:00 pm is a workshop for those wishing to audition to for the musical.  Sign up sheets for auditions will be posted at the end of the day at the ticket booth in the lobby of the Performing Arts Center. 

 

Hope to see you at the workshop. Parking passes will be on sale at 7am and at lunch until Friday, August 27th in the Activities Office. Passes are $35.00. Please remember to bring all the requested information with you when you make your purchase. After August 27th parking passes may be purchased on Tuesday’s at lunch in the Activities Office.

 

APS Punch Cards are for sale in the 9th Grade Academy office during lunch.  The punch cards are a great way to skip the lines to purchase tickets at athletic events, get cheaper admission price and a portion of the sales goes back to the school.  Adult and student punch cards are available with 10 or 20 punches.

 

National Honor Society Members:  Our first meeting of the year for NHS is today at lunch in the lecture hall. Remember, attendance is mandatory for cords and letters.

 

Freshman Football still needs 3 managers for the upcoming season.  Please see coach Zufall in H209 at lunch if you are interested. You must be available Mon-Sat and have good grades. Again, see coach Zufall in H209 at lunch

"On Tuesday, 24 August, Representative Martin Heinrich will be hosting a Service Academy Night for students interesting in applying to one of the United States Service Academies.  It will be held at the Cibola High School Performing Arts Center from 6 to 7 pm.  College ROTC units will also be there to answer questions.  Dress to impress.  If you have any question, see Major Campbell in B154".

We have the Soccer Metro Tournament beginning on Monday.
