Unlike our local EOS which provides a blank blue screen the EAS screen was flashing green bars almost strobe light frequencies.
Audio was weak and staticy and hard to understand as the alert tones kept repeating throughout the 30 second override.
Audio on my local FM station was a bit of static but more easily understood.
I should note that the local FM station is an EM directors dream. Great for giving public safety updates for storms, flooding, blizzards as well as notices if police are chasing a fugitive. Phones answer 24/7 and programming is local rather than feed from out of state.
Note re flashing green bars; I wonder if anyone with epilepsy had a reaction to the flashing.
