[californiadisasters] On This Date In CA Weather History (May 26)

1968: It was 101° at Santa Barbara setting a record high for May.

1964: Hail to 1" in diameter caused minor property damage in the Reno area.

1953: Fresno set a record low of 40°, lowest so late in the season.
River bottom areas nearby had light frost as well as Tarpey Village.

1951: It was a remarkable scorcher in the desert: 115° in Thermal, 114° in Palm Springs, 113° in Indio, and 103° in Victorville.
