Come to the VVHS Colorguard/Flag auditions on May 9th and 10th 4:00 to 7:00pm. Meet in band room G116. Any questions see Mr Blakey.

Seniors! New fine lists have been posted. Please be sure all your fines are paid prior to cap and gown distribution. Graduating Seniors need to be here on Friday at noon for the Honors assembly rehearsal.

You may still purchase Yearbooks for $70.00 in the activities office. Autograph inserts are $2.00.

COUNSELING

• AP Students: If you are taking an AP exam make sure you bring your photo ID and Hawk Absence form on the day your exam is scheduled. Remember no cell phones allowed.
• Summer School Registration will begin on May 1st, 2013 and be ongoing until May 22nd, 2013.  If you need to make up a class, make an appointment to see your Academy.

ATHLETICS

Baseball...Congratulations to Andre Vigil who set a new NMAA state record of 36 career home runs.

Final VVHS Results for District Championship Tennis Tournament AND Qualifiers for State Individual Tennis Championships May 8-9.

• Boy's Singles: Michael Sanchez-Finalist, Alex Aragon-3rd Place
• Boy's Doubles:  Calvin Salinger and Andrew Morgan-3rd Place

The Girl's Tennis Team, District Champions, qualified for the State Team Championships on the 10th and 11th of May

• Girl's Singles:  Shelby Rael-3rd Place
• Girl's Doubles:  Donna Shockley and Gabby Quevedo-Champions

Boys Track and Field...Congratulations to Junior Mike Budick, who placed 4th in the Shot Put, 2nd in the Javelin, and 1st in the Discus this past week at the Metro Championships. Senior Joe Searcy-Ortega placed 2nd in the 100. Junior Noah Madrid placed 5th in the shot put. Sophomore Parker Conoway placed 6th in the 800. The Medley relay team of freshmen Taran Robinson, Hayden Thomas, Ale Goldston, and senior Andres Molina placed 6th. The 4x100 team of Robert Peele, Daeqwuan Graves, Joe Searcy-Ortega, and Dorsett Valdez placed 4th and improved their state qualifying time. The 4x400 team of Robert Peele, Joe Searcy-Ortega, Brandon Madrid, and Matt Andrew place 3rd. And the 4x200 team of Robert Peele, Hayden Thomas, Joe Searcy-Ortega, and Dorsett Valdez were Metro champions and improved their state qualifying time. Great job boys!
