For the Cedar Fire anniversary, no Santa Ana winds are predicted despite warmer temperatures expected heading into the weekend
The Cedar fire, still the largest firestorm in California history, began the afternoon of October 25th in the Cleveland National Forest east of Ramona during the fire's peak, it consumed 80,000 acres in just 10 hours in all, 273,246 acres burned by the time the blaze was over. More than 2,200 homes were destroyed by the Cedar fire alone and 15 people lost their lives.

effect until 0900 hrs PDT this morning for the Coastal portions of Los Angeles County

A destructive pacific-wide tsunami is not expected and there is no

tsunami threat to Hawaii.

An earthquake has occurred with these preliminary parameters

Origin time - 0710 am hst 25th OCT 2013

Location    - off the east coast of Honshu  japan

Magnitude   - 7.5 moment

Evaluation: based on all available data a destructive pacific-wide tsunami is

not expected and there is no tsunami threat to Hawaii..

 

This will be the only statement issued for this event unless

Additional data are received.

98 Outbuildings Destroyed

again today.
