Closer to Placerita Canyon...
Interesting report. Are you anywhere near the Santa Clara or San Francisquito Creek river beds?

Heard a 'precursor' quake at about 1900 - there was a loud thud and some settling, no discernible ground motion. On a hunch, I punched up the local seismometer on a scanner, and it was pretty clear what had happened.
About 20 minutes later, I went downstairs and asked my wife if she'd felt the quake (she hadn't) - and, maybe 30 seconds later, the 4.5 hit... "Felt THAT one!"
Very mild shaking, no rolling... A few very, very tiny jiggles on the seismo afterward, but all is quiet now (maybe I'll pull the cars back into the garage after all 8*) ).
