Been closely monitoring this fire, for obvious reasons...and happy to announce that FFs have made good headway overnight, and the fire is 40% contained as of 7am this morning. We should see this incident start to wind down.
Have not heard anything about evac changes, so those evacuated remain there until further notice. No new evacs ...good news again.
Hopefully the rest of our holiday weekend in Tehachapi will be a might quieter. We're starting to get burned out on wildfires, pardon the pun.
On behalf of our community up here, massive thank yous to all involved with this fire. A special thank you to "Spike" who is a pilot, and sounds a little like Han Solo over the scanner attacking the death star.
