2005: From the 21st through the 23rd, a storm system brought over 24" of snow to higher elevations of the southern Sierra Nevada.
Tenaya Lake received 44" of snow, 42" fell at Upper Burnt Corral and Paradise Meadow got 39".

2004: A low of 71° F F in Las Vegas, NV, was not only the warmest low ever recorded in
March here but also the earliest a low temperature of 70° F or better has
been recorded.

1995: 44" of snow fell at Sierraville, with 32" at Tahoe City (west shore Lake Tah.

1992: A series of storms that started on 3.20 and ended on this day brought 1"-5" of rainfall and local flooding to portions of Southern California.

1964: A big snow storm that started on 3.22 ended on 3.24.
29" fell in Idyllwild, of which 22" fell on 3.24 alone, 26" fell at Lake Arrowhead, 23" at Palomar Mountain, and 18" at Big Bear Lake.

1963: It was 23° F overnight at Pismo Beach setting an all-time March record low temperature.

1959: A "small tornado" (not rated) near Fresno uprooted trees.

1929: Measurable snow falls in Fresno, 0.2" recorded, tied with the event of 1916 for the latest date measurable snow has ever fallen in Fresno.

1929: 12" of snow fell at Carson City, NV.

1916: Intense late-season storm: Fresno received 0.1" of snow, the latest in the season measurable snow has fallen here.
In addition, Fresno had sustained winds of 54 mph from the northwest, the highest sustained winds on record here for any month.

1907: 26" of snow fell at Susanville.

1899: Fort Ross received 4" of rain.

1893: Heavy rain around San Bernardino washed out railroads and a bridge in town.
