ELECTIONS: Any student interested in running for class office or student body office please stops by the activities office and pick up an application. Applications are due by Monday, March 13 during a meeting in the lecture hall at lunch. Students may run for president, vice president or secretary for the classes of 2018, 2019, 2020. Students interested in running for a student body office may run for vice president or secretary. All candidates must be eligible as per NMAA guidelines.
BAND: will have a concert this evening at 6:30 in the PAC.
CHOIR will have a concert in the PAC on Friday evening at 7pm.
ATTENTION STAFF AND STUDENTS, counselors will be coming around this week during 4th period to recognize students that received a 3.5 GPA or higher for the 4th 6 weeks grading period. Over 530 students are receiving this recognition, which is close to 25% of the school. Congratulations to all students that are receiving this honor, keep up the great work.
ATHLETICS:
TENNIS: The Hawks girl's varsity tennis team defeated Atrisco Heritage yesterday, winning 7-2 at Ventana Park. Winning for the Hawks in singles were Martina Rodriguez, Daeja Wyche, Connie Kennedy, Nicole Kratochvit, and Cristina Rodriguez. Winning in doubles were the teams of Reagan Robnett and Daeja Wyche and Lexxus Salazar and Nicole Kratochvit. The Hawks host Highland Thursday at Ventana Park.
BASEBALL: will play today at 3:30 at West Mesa and Saturday at Valley at 10
SOFTBALL: will play Carlsbad at 4 today. They will also play at Highland at 10 on Saturday
GIRLS BASKETBALL: will play Hobbs in the state quarterfinals at the Santa Ana Star Center at 8:15pm tonight. Go out and support the Lady Hawks
BOYS BASKETBALL: will play Eldorado today at the Pit in the NMAA state quarterfinals and on Saturday at Rio Rancho at 7PM
