[californiadisasters] On This Date In California Weather History (April 24)



2012: Gusty southwesterly winds occurred over the mountains and desert slopes, with a top gust to 63 mph in the northern Coachella Valley.

1964: Palo Alto had a low temperature of 34° F.

1964:
The morning low temperature at Truckee was 6
° F.

1946: Las Vegas, NV, reaches 99° F, highest ever in April.

1910:
Fresno reached 101° F for a high.
This set a record for the most days of triple digit high temperatures in the month of April.
In Bakersfield the high reached 100° F, establishing a record for the most triple digit highs in the month of April (the later record was tied in April 1981).
Lemon Cove reached an April record high of 110° F.

1896: 16" of snow fell at Susanville.
