Southern California experienced increased fire activity on Sunday (4-30) as three(3) fires were reported .
The largest fire is the "Opera Fire" which started near Opera Loop and East Palamyrita Avenue in the community of Highgrove (NE of Riverside.
Fire is burning in heavy grass fuels in the Box Springs Mtns and has destroyed 1,200 acres with only 5% containment.
The "Tower Fire" is burning North of Devore near Cleghorn Rd in the already fire devastated Cajon Pass area. Fire has burned 300 acres at last report and is 5% contained.
The "Jameson Fire" burning in Corona threatened many homes at times this evening. No reported home losses in this 15 acre fire.
Tanker activity was heavy on the Opera fire and even a few diverts to the Jameson Fire at its peak.
Tankers reported working the fire were: S2T's #70,#74,#75,#76,#78 and #86. Neptune BAE-146 #40 was dispatched from Porterville and Aeroflite's RJ-85 Tanker #164 arrived from Arizona to help battle the blazes. Reload was Hemet for the S2's and should have been San Bernardino for Tanker #40 and #164
