Ash Valley Rd, 6 miles W of Madeline 115 acres grass, brush, 25% contained. Forward spread of the fire stopped. Federal air and ground resources committed.

7,100 acres, 10% contained. Threat to the residence south of Cedarville. Fire has burned into the Warner Mountain Wilderness and is effecting the associated Class 1 Air shed.

4,590 acres, 35% contained. Type 3 Incident. Several trail and forest road closures in effect. Spotted Owl, Coho Salmon, and Steel head habitat is threatened. Smoke conditions have become unhealthy to the community of Happy Camp.

3,960 acres, 7% contained. Moderate fire behavior. CA IMT 2 (Coots) in command of the Ukonom, Burney and Frank Fire. Six Rivers NF will retain control of the remaining fires with a Type 3 IC. Ukonom fire is 3,200 acres and 19% contained with a full suppression strategy. The Burney Fire is 513 acres, the Forks Fire is 231 acres. Threat to Ukonom Lookout. Smoke is impacting nearby communities.

83,001 acres, 65% contained. CA-IMT1 (Kurth). CALFIRE has gone out of Unified command due to the reduce risk to Alturas and surrounding structures. The Cove fire is 30,886 acres and 36% contained. The Steele fire is 45,690 acres. All other fires in the complex are fully contained.

4,088 acres, 56% contained. CA-IMT2 (Mills) assigned. Active fire behavior with isolated torching. Threat remains to the town of Quincy and associated infrastructure. Crews continue to make good progress and expect demobilization of excess resources in a few days.

83,001 acres, 54% contained. CA-IMT1 (Kurth) in Unified Command with CALFIRE. Governor Brown has issued a State of Emergency Proclomation for Modoc County.The Cove fire is 30,886 acres. Voluntary evacuations have been lifted for Rush Creek, the northeast corner of Round Valley, and county roads 87 and 90. The shelter is closed at Bieber Memorial Hall. The Steele fire is 45,690 acres with extreme fire behavior and long range spotting. There is a threat to livestock, and major power and gas infrastructure. Major communications site for fire and law enforcement is threatened.

7,100 acres, 0% contained. Extreme fire behavior, Crowning, torching, spotting is observed. There are threats to livestock and grazing lands. MAFF's have been ordered. Fire has spotted on to the Eastern side of the Warner Wilderness. Threat to residences south of Cedarville, Deep Creek Parker Rd, County Rd 1, communities of Grainger Creek Drainage and East Creek Basin. Evacuations of Pepperdine Campground are complete. 60 KV transmission lines threatened. Archaeologically sensitive sites that include pioneering trails are threatened

3,657 acres, 43% contained. CA-IMT2 (Mills) assigned. A voluntary evacuation was instituted last night for the community of QuincyModerate fire behavior. Threats to communities of Quincy and Meadow Valley, water sheds, local infrastructure, communication sites, powerlines, major travel ways, Feather River College.

Mandatory evacuations will be evaluated for cancellation on 8/4/2017. Mandatory road closers will be re-evaluated 8/4/2017: Co. Rd. 87, Co. Rd. 90, Rush Creek Loop, and Rush Creek Camp Ground. The Steele fire is 45,690 acres with extreme fire behavior and long range spotting. There is a threat to livestock, and major power and gas infrastructure. Major communications site for fire and law enforcement is threatened.
