Things have been crazy here, too, after I evacuated for the Wall fire (no need, thank all the gods). Haven't been doing much scanning lately. Do what I can.

Thanks for that update Pamela and please keep us posted. I'm trying to get my energy back from a slew of things going on with me this year and this summer. Tonight I'm resuming "News & Notes" and by this weekend want to get On This Date In California Weather History back up and running. I also want to be better about updating incidents here such as this Minerva Fire threatening Quincy.

Update on Minerva fire, as of about 11pm 8/4:
VOLUNTARY EVAC IN WEST QUINCY DUE TO MINERVA FIRE: Due to spot fires in the area of Boyle Ravine in West Quincy, the Sheriff's Office in coordination with the US Forest Service, is issuing a voluntary evacuation notice for the following area: Nugget Lane west to the Plumas District Hospital and south of Jackson Street. At this time, this is a voluntary evacuation only. There is a shelter set up at the Mormon Church on Bellamy Lane in Quincy.
