Totally the case. The majority of storms missed northern LA County and went into Orange and San Diego County. There is no stopping this fire with 50 mph wind gusts every few minutes. These are the worst conditions for any fire. Expect a lot of destruction by mid-day tomrrow.
I'm trying to contact a friend who lives in Santa Paula and operates the Fillmore & Western RR, but he is not responding.
Fire is now nearing the ocean, according to NBC.

Ventura County never fully got out of the drought after last winter unlike the rest of the state.... it remained and remains under mild drought conditions.

I'm about 25 minutes away from the region and it's getting more gusty each hour. I do not see this fire slowing down anytime soon. By the way, it has not rained here since April.JasonIn a message dated 12/4/2017 10:36:21 P.M. It is moving passively towards Santa Paula to the south and Ojai to the north and is moving actively towards the City of Ventura whose east margin is under evacuation orders and will be directly impacted before dawn. Wind gusts are up to 70 mph and could be higher overnight.
Major power outages are being experienced all around Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties including Santa Paula, Santa Barbara, Ojai, Oxnard, Port Hueneme, Ventura, and Carpinteria.
