RE: [californiadisasters] Brush Fire : RRU : Mc Kindley : Corona Riverside Area



Divisions are pieces of the pie designed to keep each section manageable and then Divisions are managed as a group.

Division A usually starts on the lower left flank (the heel of the fire) and then are added as needed in clockwise fashion.  Often several letters are skipped with an expectation for growth (fill in the blank letters later).  Div Z is often on the right flank (though you can go to Division ZZZ if it’s REALLY big). 

It looks like a good ‘tune up’ fire before it gets seriously busy.  Good pic too.  I’d bet it had some nice runs.

Full aircraft orders likely can’t be filled until next month, when the contracts normally kick in, unless there is a pay as needed contract (a dumb thing for the state to do).

per scanner this fire is making a hard fast run on Eagle Canyon
* this is the area earlier that was suppose to be evacuated )

its burning out of control on the West Flank..

Yankee Div only has a helicopter working for them but they need air tankers and non are available

Div Zulu ( unknown what flank) has all the tankers working on this side
due to structure threat..

trying to get a few P3s out of Ramona..
