Re: [californiadisasters] A Sad Reminder

I approved the post, because though it was down the foul line, I thought it
rolled fair.

1. We DO wish to honor our fallen firefighter/law enforcement heroes.

2. The topic of "remembering 9/11" can drift in the direction of politics
and can be somewhat controversial.

3. The issue of the "Ground-Zero Mosque" is quite controversial, and also
involves different political views.

4. As far as I know, the members of this list, in general, are sympathetic
to the firefighter/law enforcement deaths on 9/11; we diverge from there,
but I don't believe we have a representative sample of the general
population. We might have a higher tolerance to discussion of the present
issues than some groups.

Nevertheless, we probably need to back off of the part of this that could be
or become political.
