8/23/2012	0630	CA-PNF Chips Fire. 63,147 acres. 40% contained. Decreasing fire behavior throughout the night with minor fire spread was observed fire behavior. Firing operations are under way in Divisions X, V and W.
8/23/2012	0630	CA-MNF North Pass Fire. 17,820 acres. 10% contained. Weather conditions, aggressive fire behavior, limited access, and limited resources continue to be significant control problems.
8/23/2012	0630	CA-TGU Ponderosa Fire. The fire continues to make runs where the slope and wind aligns; spotting in excess of 1/8th of a mile continues to be a problem for crews in Division X. Damage assessment continues with the collection of more accurate information.
8/23/2012	0630	CA-KNF Fort Complex. 6,583 acres. 37% contained. Line improvement in Goff Creek and structure protection assessment and preperation in Seiad Valley continue.
8/23/2012	0630	CA-NOD Rush Fire. 317,616 acres. 60% contained. Crews in Division A and B will secure and mop up and continue to construct direct and indirect line, burning as needed. The remaining divisions are in patrol and mop up status.
8/23/2012	0630	CA-BTU Mill Fire. 1,680 acres. 95% contained. Heavy mop up still exist with the Mill Creek Drainage area. A 10 acre island with heavy fuels still exists in Division A/C.
8/23/2012	0630	CA-SHU SHU August Lightning Fire. 204 acres. 100% contained. Mop up and patrol continue.
8/23/2012	0630	CA-MDF Antelope Fire. 637 acres. 20% contained. A Type 2 Incident Management Team has been ordered with iInbrief scheduled for 14:00 hours today. Long travel times to the incident and poor access are control issues.
8/23/2012	0630	CA-SHF Bagley Fire. 7,302 acres. 0% contained. Bagley and Fork fires have burned together. Numerous roads in the fire area, including the Iron Canyon Reservoir Road, were closed by Forest Order. Slow rates of spread were observed over night.
