South Central Sierra Interagency IMT (Cooper) is in Unified Command with CAL FIRE (Smith)
The southern flank of the fire continues to burn within the footprint of the 2001 North Fork Fire. Heavy brush component (critically low live fuel moistures) with heavy down and dead debris.
The portable retardant plant established July 29th has proven to be extremely effective.

Location: Sprague Rd E x Highway 120 east of the community of GrovelandState DPA, FRA
204 Acres, timber, 79% Contained
Threat to commercial timber, Hetch Hetchy Water and Power, PG&E infrastructure,

No further spread is predicted.

CA Interagency IMT Team 1 (McGowan) assumed command of the incident at 0600 this morning
Chainsaw use has been approved for the summit and Mountaineer trails to facilitate indirect line construction and improve on the existing trails to limit fire growth to the smallest footprint possible.

Critical resources requested are needed to abate imminent structure threat
Critical resources needed: Type 3 Strike Teams and CAL FIRE Type 1 Strike Team

25 structures were evacuated. Crews are working to gain containment.
Threat to commercial timber, Hetch Hetchy Water and Power, PG&E infrastructure,
and Tuolumne Wild and Scenic River drainage.
Extended driving times and remoteness of incident hampers fire containment.
