[californiadisasters] [EDIS] Flash Flood Warning - Antelope Valley Area



THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN OXNARD HAS ISSUED A * FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR... NORTHEASTERN LOS ANGELES COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST CALIFORNIA... THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF...LANCASTER...PALMDALE...ACTON... AND THE CROWN BURN AREA * UNTIL 700 PM PST  * AT 402 PM PST... DOPPLER RADAR SHOWS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE ANTELOPE VALLEY FROM PALMDALE TO PEARBLOSSOM. FLOOD WATERS  HAVE ALSO BEEN REPORTED DRAINING FROM THE MOUNTAINS INTO NORMALLY DRY ARROYOS AND WASHES. FLASH FLOODING IS LIKELY TO IMPACT LOW LYING AREAS AND HIGHWAYS FOR THE NEXT FEW HOURS...INCLUDING HIGHWAY 138. DEBRIS FLOWS MAY OCCUR IN THE CROWN BURN AREA AS WELL. * LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO LITTLEROCK...PEARBLOSSOM AND LAKE LOS ANGELES PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... &&

Instruction:
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE  ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
