12/23 | 0800 | Interagency Fire Weather Center – Predictive Services unit Southern California geographical area coordination center Riverside, California Partly cloudy skies and warmer temperatures will return to most the area today and Friday. By Friday, high temperatures will return to the upper 60s to lower 70s across much of southern California, but the San Joaquin Valley will remain foggy through much of the period. The dry weather will be fleeting as rain will spread from the north to the south Saturday afternoon. Rainfall amounts should be much less than during the past few days, but 1-2 inches will be possible along the central coast and the Sierra Foothills with up to an inch across the foothill and mountain locations of southern California. Snow levels will be around 5,000 feet. The storm will slowly depart the region Sunday afternoon, but some showers may linger through much of the day. Monday and Tuesday look dry, but locally breezy with northwest flow setting up over the state. Wet weather may return by next Wednesday. |

Flash flooding maybe possible in the recent burn areas and parts of Los Angeles County with a chance of thunderstorms. Thursday and Friday by will be dry followed by a weak storm system arriving late Christmas day.
