Re: [californiadisasters] Admin Read: Look What Happens When I'm Gone!
We lost a bridge here in Reno the same way - 10 tons of strawberries in the trailer on a 5-ton limit bridge...folks were picking strawberries out of the Truckee river with fishing nets, colanders, etc for hours

So I head off for a 3-hour CERT class and this is what I miss: a M5.6 - 5.9 earthquake in Plumas County with no injuries or appreciable damage and the southbound I-5 bridge over the Skagit River in Washington State gets knocked down as a result of a truck with an over-sized load striking girders and for some reason that causing the entire bridge to collapse yet without any fatalities thankfully enough. Heads up next Thursday night when I'm in CERT class again!
