It's the Challenge of the Year! Thursday at Lunch, the Faculty Kickball team will be taking on the Senior Kickball team out at the Soccer Field. Come out and watch the FACULTY BEAT THE SENIORS!!!!!
Attention MESA members...Ms. Conell and Ms. Bitner would like to congratulate all who attended and participated in last night's parent night here at VVHS. Hey all of you dancers, performers and actors. Would you like an opportunity to perform under stadium lights in front of hundreds of people? Then come join the VVHS color guard and flag team. The flag team performs with the band at all football games and state competitions. In color guard you'll dance, act, and spin rifles, flags and sabers. No experience necessary, we'll teach you everything you need to know. Be a part of an exciting, energetic group!
Come to the VVHS Colorguard/Flag auditions on Thursday and Friday May 2nd and 3rd from 4:00 to 7:00pm as well as May 9th and 10th 4:00 to 7:00pm. Meet in band room G116. Any questions see Mr Blakey
Seniors! Please plan ahead and order your final transcript to your college of choice. If you do not send your final transcript your classes may be dropped for the fall semester at college. All request for transcripts and pick up are student only no parents are allowed to request or pick up final transcripts. Any questions please see Mrs. Ewing in the main office.
Seniors! There is a new fines list posted. Be sure all your fines are cleared by May 7.
Yearbooks are $70.00. You may purchase them at lunch in the activities office. Autograph inserts are $2.00.
COUNSELING
- Summer School Registration will begin on May 1st, 2013 and be ongoing until May 22nd, 2013. If you need to make up a class, make an appointment to see your Academy Counselor for more information and transcript review. They will review with you options to make up credits.
- Blake's Lotaburger is hosting a team interview day on May 6 11AM-4PM.
- Seniors: If you are planning to attend CNM next year you must submit your FAFSA by April 30th to receive the Bridge/Lottery scholarship. See Mrs. Sandy in room E224 if you have questions.
ATHLETICS
- Volleyball will begin open gym today from 2:45 to 4:00pm.
Anyone interested in playing volleyball….BE THERE!!!! - The softball team beat Rio Rancho 13 t0 12, behind the pitching of Celina Sullivan and the game winning home run by Ryli Johns.
- Congratulations to Andre Vigil who hit his 34th career home run, tying the New Mexico state record, and R. J. Alderete had the game winning double as the Hawks baseball team won their fourth consecutive district championship with a 6-2 win over Rio Rancho.
