Way Fire, CA-CND-003148, Kern County

Location: Wofford Heights and Hwy 155

Jurisdiction: BLM

Fire remains in Unified Command CIIMT5 (Joseph) USFS with BLM.

4045 acres, 78% contained.

Structure damage assessment continues to be performed by Kern County FD.

 

Junction CA-MMU- 014633 Madera County

Location of incident: Hwy 49 and Junction, Oakhurst community

Jurisdiction: SRA

Cal Fire IMT 6 ( Estes).

612 acres, 95% contained.

Command of the incident is tentatively planned to be transitioned

back to the Madera-Mariposa Unit today.

Significant demobilization of resources continues today.

Location: Wofford Heights and Hwy 155

Jurisdiction: BLM

Fire remains in Unified command CIIMT5 (Joseph) USFS with BLM.

4031 acres, 72% contained.

Kern County FD will exit Unified

Command at 1800 hrs today.

 

Junction CA-MMU- 014633 Madera County
Location of incident: Hwy 49 and Junction, Oakhurst community

Jurisdiction: SRA

Cal Fire IMT 6 (Estes)

612 acres, 90% contained

Command of the incident is tentatively planned to be transitioned

back to the Madera-Mariposa Unit 8/22/2014.

Due to a reduction in incident activity and more favorable weather

conditions in the California Southern Geographic Area/Region we

will decrease our CWCG Preparedness Level from a Level 4 to a

Level 3, effective 1000 hours today.

CIIMT5  (Joseph) USFS, BLM and Kern County FD (D.Brady)

4031 acres, 48% Contained.

Repopulation in progress.

Threat to community of Wofford Heights has significantly diminished.

Commitment of Forest Service air and ground resources.

Utilize air resources to check fire growth in inaccessible areas.

Demob has begun today. Tentatively Kern County Fire will go out

of unified command later this evening.

Begin suppression repair in locations where containment has been achieved.

 

Junction CA-MMU- 014633 Madera County
Location of incident: Hwy 49 and Junction, Oakhurst community

Jurisdiction: SRA

Cal Fire IMT 6 (Brian Estes)

612 acres, 75 % Contained.
An updated damage inspection report is being produced.

Power was restored to all areas affected.

Continue mop up and improve containment lines.

Commitment of Forest Service air resources.
